OUTRAGE has been informed the Manteno village attorney is calling a "special meeting" Wednesday, August 10 at 6:00 pm to pass a resolution approving a bike path easement agreement with Oak Ridge Manufacture Home Park.  This will cost taxpayers $70,000 so that a few senior citizens will be able to walk or ride bikes into town.  There are approximately 400 seniors who live in Oak Ridge.  They represent less than 5% of the community. How many people do you think will use this bike/walking path? Do you think this is good use of village money?  Do you support this kind of expenditure in the economic environment we are experiencing?

Manteno residents, please make your feelings known at this meeting!
