Is Manteno Village President Tim Nugent using his office for personal gain? You be the judge.
According to these documents obtained by OUTRAGE, Village President Tim Nugent is asking for $1.85 million in federal stimulus money for infrastructure improvements where it seems he has a personal interest in getting free infrastructure improvements.
On page 3 there is a map of the area discussed in the letters asking Representative Halvorson and Senator Durbin for the $1.85 million in federal stimulus money. The middle of the map under the words Manteno TWP is the property with the parcel identification number 03-02-16-200-102. The documents that follow shows the name of the company who owns the property and who is affiliated with the company i.e. Tim Nugent.
Also included is the minutes from the March, 17, 2008 Village of Manteno board meeting where under Committee Reports discussion took place about destroying Executive Session tapes. One has to wonder why they want to destroy these tapes. It may also be against state law.
